Sneak Peek
I haven't posted anything in a while because I've run out of cool drawings to show!
For now, here's a sneak peek from a cartoon animation I'm working on.
It's gonna be a while before I finish it, though. It's taking me so long! I started last year in, like, September, and I've only finished about a minute of the animation. Animation is so hard!

Tribe of Ogga
On one single island in the Sakla Ocean lives a race found nowhere else on the planet: the tribe of Ogga.
The chieftan of the tribe is a giant Oggan. He treats his subjects with kindness but is very regal.
Oggan messengers are slim and wirey, and very fast. They carry messages and letters around the island.
Oggan warriors are large and very strong. This one is carrying a masaxxe, a weapon known for its effectiveness in battle. Oggans rarely have to battle others, and there are hardly any threats to the tribe, except for island sieges.
Oggan villagers are diminutive compared to warriors, messengers, and especially the chieftan.

Porobo
Porobos are four-armed, bear-like creatures that have a very developed brain, so developed, in fact, that they spend most of their time thinking in trees. Many have tried to communicate with these wise creatures, but it is very hard to rouse them from their deep thought. Not many have even seen one of these creatures up and about, but it is rumored that if you do, they will reveal to you many wonders.

The Spiny Whaelk
Sorry I haven't posted for I while. I sorta forgot to the last couple of Wednesdays. Anyway, here is the drawing for today.
The Spiny Whaelk is an exotic creature that lives only in the south hemisphere of Planet Doodul, in jungles and rivers. It is carnivorous, and eats small animals, but is otherwise a peaceful creature. It's spiny back is to protect it from bigger creatures, as the adult whaelk is only about one foot tall (3 feet long) and is preyed upon as much as it preys upon other things. If this creature feels threatened, it will try to run away, but if you try to harm it, it will resort to self defense and give you a rather nasty bite.

Sharku-Sharku
Sharku-Sharku is half man, half shark. I drew this a couple years ago, and it is very wierd now that I think about it. What was wrong with me? Oh well, I guess it's pretty cool...
...no, it's just wierd.

Mountain Mouth
This is a drawing from a couple of years ago, when my style was a lot more derpy. This is Mountain Mouth. The name was given by people from a village that he lives nearby. Mountain Mouth is a giant who greatly resembles a mountain. He moves extremely slow and is often mistaken for one, too. Many a time an explorer would hike all the way to the snow capped peak, never realizing that he is standing on a living thing.
That's all for today. I will try to post again some time this week to make up for last week.

Haunt
Haunts are four-legged wraiths that are said to be seen around the Sky Barrens on foggy nights. These ghostly creatures have the characteristics of dogs, and are said to be particularly vicious. One of their most distinguishing features is their long mouth, which goes all along their extended bodies (or tails; the people who claim to have seen haunts are not sure what this is). This mouth is full of sharp teeth, and haunts are said to have as much as six fangs. Many people are doubtful that these phantoms exist, because there have only been a couple of sightings. The only people who truly believe are the ones who have seen these things themselves.

Arctic Hippo
Here is an arctic hippo.
And an arctic hippo calf.
And an arctic hippo calf.
One day I was watching Avatar: the Last Airbender. That TV show had a lot of interesting creatures. At one point they mentioned something called an arctic hippo. They never showed an image of one, so I decided to draw it. I drew a hippo with warm fur to endure arctic climates with.

Pirate Blimp
Remember how Planet Doodul exploded, leaving thousands of gigantic floating land chunks in the sky? That area is now called the Sky Barrens, because ever since the Great Catastrophe (the name given to the implosion in the planet's mantle, causing a large fraction of the planet to be dismembered from the rest of it), the earth shards have been deserted, save for a few tiny villages on the land chunks, and, of course, the occasional wanderer. The Sky Barrens are known to be a refuge for pirates, as there are no laws in this region. The pirates travel from sky shard to sky shard in great dirigibles adorned with the jolly rodger and armed with cannons. With these pirate blimps they ransack the villages that they can find for supplies and treasure.
There is really no limit to the size and appearence of a pirate dirigible, but I am just showing the basic types.

Tree Gih
This is a tree gih (that can be pronounced anyway you want). It is a sort of imp creature that disguises itself as a tree. When small animals come by, it captures them and forces them to take it to their store of food. It usually takes a large amount of the creature's food, leaving little to nothing for the poor animal. The tree gih is considered one of the rudest creatures of the woods, though it is not thought of as evil. There are creatures that are a lot more wicked on Planet Doodul that make the tree gih look just a little bit shy of mischievous.

King Pastry
I was digging through some of my old drawings and came across this.
He's evidently some sort of pie king. I drew this two or three years ago, and I remember calling him the "King of Tarts," or something like that. I got the idea from an Adventure Time picture I saw online, because I was into that stuff at the time. The idea of a monarch who rules over all things sugary and delicious is kind of a silly thing (and as you know, I'm not the kind of person who thinks of silly things), and it's kind of cliche. I don't really have a story for this guy; he's just some sort of pie king. He does look cool, though.

Tororon
Hello again! Next week, I'm going to boy scout camp and I won't be able to post anything next Wednesday, so I'm posting next Wednesday's post today.
This is Tororon, an admirable Retir. If you have thought before that brains oppose brawn, then think again, for Tororon is both smart and muscular. His race, the Retir, are bull-people renowned for their intelligence and strength. Their horns, while they can be used as weapons, are otherwise thought of as signs of their brainpower. Retir also have tails with heavy mace-balls at the end. Tororon's father is the great warrior and scholar, Chronon, and he learned everything he knows from him. Knowing so much battle tactics and other useful information, Tororons knowledge is almost as vast as that of Rudis. Tororon uses his intellect a lot in his everyday life, and he can often determine the best choice when making a decision.

Noacob
This is Noacob.
Noacob is Coboc's half-brother. There are two kinds of shroomcaps, one with 1 parasol, and one with 2 parasols. Noacob is the second kind, a shroomcap with 2 parasols, but no arms. He is often ridiculed by others because of this, but he accepts his disability. What he lacks in arms, he makes up for in perseverance. Noacob may fail many times, and, like most shroomcaps, he is very fearful, but the thing about him is that he never stops trying, no matter what the odds. No matter how scared he is, he will always push forward, and even if the entire planet is counting him out he will not give up.

Rudis
Good Day! As promised, here is a new post. This guys name is Rudis.
Rudis is a good friend of Jaris and Coboc. He is a Pagenti (beings that appear to be made of paper), and thus was raised in a library. Having read many books and scrolls, he is very knowledgeable of the land and everything in it. Having this knowledge does not make him a dull bookworm, though. He enjoys adventuring with his friends and is a great warrior (he is pretty good at this, being made of paper), but he is still ready to spout out facts about just about anything they encounter.
Being a Pagenti, Rudis is skilled in origami (or as it is called on Doodul, pagi), and uses it in combat. He uses paper airplanes and throwing stars as projectiles, and he can even fold his tail into maceballs or spearheads! Another thing about Rudis is that he is always sure things will be okay, even when evil has the upper hand, because he knows that good will always triumph over evil.

Coboc
I have not posted anything since March! It's been a while. I've been getting kind of lazy about this blog, and my posts have been separated by large gaps of many weeks or months. But now that its summer (a third of the summer already), and I don't have much obligations, I think I'm going to start posting weekly. Every Wednesday sounds good to me. I may slip up and have to post one or two drawings on Thursday, but whatever. I'll just make sure to post every week.
Now to this post. This is Coboc.
Now to this post. This is Coboc.
Coboc is Jaris's best friend, and follows him into all kinds of danger. He is funny and imaginative. Coboc is a Shroomcap. Shroomcaps are a race of cowardly mushroom people who live on Planet Doodul. Coboc is the bravest Shroomcap, and because of this he was chosen by the Great Great Great Grandfather Tree to be the Shroomcap's leader. Such a role needs preparation, and though he is not ready, he surely will be with the help of his friends.

Belbp
Planet Doodle's vast seas take up about 3/4 of the planet. This ocean contains a plethora of sea creatures, from the microscopic drui to the gargantuan metawahl.
This creature is called a belbp.
A belbp resembles Earth's jellyfish. It's number of tentacles can be from about eight to twenty five, and though it usually swims, it has four tentacles to stand on. It also has a clawed tentacle to catch and kill prey, and it gives off electricity as well, if a belbp needs to protect itself. Its bioluminescent eyes can help it see through dark water, as many belbps live in deep seas.

Gadalads
Woah, that image, is like, jumping off of the page. These are Gadalads. Gadalads are big furry creatures that take the form of hay bales. When the sun is shining and the sky is cloudless, they stand up and walk. They would walk for the whole day, stopping only when the very tip of the sun sets behind the horizon, or a tiny cloud wisp appears in the sky. Then they roll back into furry grass-like mounds. No one knows why these mysterious creatures wander on and on tirelessly. Some think that they get their energy from the sun, and that's why they stop when it sets. The dry Gadalads have a strong dislike for water, and since clouds drop rain, that must be why they halt at the slightest detection of one. Hmph. Well, they sure are wierd.

Sea Searpent
Hi! Happy New Year (I'm a little late..)! Sorry I haven't been posting in a while. I have been wrapped up in school work this year. Actually, I don't have too much homework, but I am also working on a really awesome animation. Also, I have been spending a lot of my time playing Minecraft. If you are not familiar with the game, it is set in a world completely made of blocks. You have to hurry and made tools before night comes. At night, a bunch of monsters come out and try to eat you XD. Yeah, you can go mining in caves, craft all kinds of cool stuff, fight evil creatures intent on blowing you up, and it's a sandbox game, so you don't have to follow any rules, and you can build cool houses and stuff! You can also build a portal to this fiery place called the Nether; I heard that's another name for Holland. I think I'm addicted.
